Supporting Children, Youth, and families

Karen brings years of experience working with Tulsa’s schools, families, and young people to her service at City Hall.

She understands that strong communities begin with children who are safe, supported, and connected to opportunity. At the city level, that includes safe routes to school, reliable crossing guards, parks and recreation, youth programming, public safety partnerships, and services that help families thrive.

Karen supports collaboration among neighborhoods, schools, nonprofits, and city departments. In partnership with the District 5 community, she has worked to use community development funds to provide safer passage to and from school through new sidewalks near neighborhood schools and improvements to recreation areas for children and families.
